PREM’s Organizational Policy

At PREM, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethics, transparency, and accountability in all our operations. This policy outlines the key principles, guidelines, and practices that govern our activities, ensuring that our work aligns with our mission and values.

1. Financial Management and Transparency

Accountability: PREM is dedicated to the responsible management of funds. All financial resources, including donations, grants, and sponsorships, are used strictly for the purposes outlined in our programs and initiatives.
Audits and Reports: We conduct regular internal and external audits to ensure financial transparency. Our annual financial reports are shared with our stakeholders, donors, and partners, providing insight into how funds are allocated and utilized.
Tax Exemption: As a registered nonprofit organization, PREM complies with applicable laws governing tax-exempt status. Donations made to PREM may be eligible for tax benefits under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act (India).

2. Donations and Contributions

Acceptance of Donations: PREM accepts donations in the form of cash, in-kind contributions, and sponsorships. All donations are accepted with the understanding that they will be used in alignment with PREM’s objectives and programs.
Donor Recognition: We acknowledge and appreciate our donors' support. Recognition can be in the form of certificates, acknowledgment in reports, and public announcements, where appropriate.
Refunds: Donations are generally non-refundable. However, if there is an error or issue related to the donation, PREM will review and address refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

3. Volunteer Policy

Eligibility: Volunteers must meet the required criteria for the specific programs they wish to participate in. This includes age restrictions, skill requirements, or necessary background checks, where applicable.
Volunteer Conduct: Volunteers are expected to maintain a professional and respectful demeanor while representing PREM. They are required to adhere to the ethical standards, rules, and guidelines set by the organization.
Safety and Welfare: PREM ensures the safety and well-being of all its volunteers. We provide adequate training, resources, and support to help volunteers perform their duties effectively.
Volunteer Recognition: Volunteers are acknowledged for their contributions through certificates, events, and public appreciation, as applicable.

4. Ethical Standards and Integrity

Transparency: We are committed to transparency in all our dealings, including financial transactions, program implementation, and reporting to donors and partners.
Confidentiality: PREM upholds the confidentiality of all personal data provided by donors, volunteers, and beneficiaries. We follow strict privacy practices to protect sensitive information.
Conflict of Interest: All employees, board members, and volunteers must avoid situations where personal interests may conflict with the interests of PREM. Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed immediately.

5. Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy

PREM prioritizes the safety and well-being of vulnerable groups, including children, women, and marginalized communities, in all of our programs.

Child Protection: We have zero tolerance for any form of child abuse or exploitation. All staff and volunteers undergo child protection training, and we follow strict procedures for reporting and addressing any concerns.

Local Laws: We ensure compliance with local, state, and national laws regarding registration, tax exemptions, and charitable activities.
International Regulations: Where applicable, we adhere to international laws and standards related to nonprofit activities, including those related to humanitarian aid, child protection, and human rights.
